The Finnish woods house a forest of wild strawberries. They are tiny, but
deliciously sweet, much better than candy. I can't remember the US having them,
but then again, I didn't spend much time in US forests. I've never seen them in
Germany, either, although people assure me they have them there.
Whatever the case may be, Finnish summers wouldn't be summer, to me, without
at least a handful of woodland strawberries. And without all that green and moss.
And cottages that were built a long, long, time ago, and still stand proudly.
