Motherhood.
I woke up today, as I have been, in a puddle of my own milk and baby throw-up, in the two centimeters of space allocated to me in our bed. One of my breasts was hanging out of my nursing bra, somewhat uncomfortably, a tiny baby suckling on it. The other baby, the big one, had her hands wrapped around my neck, possessively, and I had a bit of a hard time breathing.
And then I looked at the two of them sleeping, and the most intense feeling of peace and love and joy rushed over me.
Motherhood. That obscure point between sheer exhaustion and pure bliss.
Thank you, my darlings, for letting me know true happiness.

I simply love spinach - could possibly eat it every day, especially if it's the fresh one. Well, don't want to spoil your appetite but yesterday when I wanted to warm up frozen spinach to serve it with fish and potatoes, I found a huge dead moth in the heated spinach pot. I was close to throw up.
So doesn't this fit perfectly to your story?
Well, I decited to serve snow-peas instead of the spinach - that saved the meal!
Those mornings are just so familiar - to the detail, really! And I adore that wallpaper! But I don't get the hat, at all! ;)
you are so lucky and beautiful! and so are your daughters!
mmmmmm, yes, motherhood - gotta love it. There's nothing like having those little ones.
So, speaking of food, I've been thinking to pass on all these simple recipes I've been making recently that I figured you'd like (no dairy, no gluten). One of them I haven't tried yet, but it's a super easy recipe for crepes - using blended oats, almond milk and...an egg, or maybe it was flax meal and water, to make the batter. Anyway, we're off to our next trip, so I'll have to do it another time.
Sound familiar to me... I love your picture :)
You know sometimes i'm a bit scared if i'm gonna be a good mother but i think you just put it down in words so nicely! Thank you for that!
