Happy day.
Scenes from around the kids room this afternoon:
I found a place for Fe's canvas, above Fe's bed, yay, I'm happy.
Fe drew a bird. Sisi drew circles, circles, circles.
Sisi is into books.
Favorite books: All the ones by Hannemari Ruohonen. (Thank you, Heli, for the introduction!)
I meant to make my own stick horses. For now the Citymarket ones work.
Fe is choreographing a dance where one only needs to move one's hands.
This lovely song by my friends' sister-in-law/sister is up for the Finnish Eurovision Song Contest
qualifiers. Go and click tykkään (like) if you like. :) I've had it on repeat all evening.
Happy happy Monday.
Oh, and Happy Halloween, too!

Cookie-cutter Pumpkin
I know, it's really an American thing, but our family always carves a pumpkin every year, although we
are usually the only ones in the neighborhood. It's such a nice tradition! Cookie cutters and a hammer
have made the carving part very easy this year. I got the idea from here.
We will attend a few dress-up parties this weekend. Fe wants to be a superstar, and Jonni wants to be a
cereal killer (get it? haha)
Happy Halloween soon!
Happy All Saints' Day soon!

Oldies but Goodies
Some pictures from my old blog that I wanted to have here.
From top: the huge canvas Fe (and I, a little) painted, with cling foil, brushes, tire tracks, etc. That was a
fun project! Fe's old room with the blue bed (why did I ever paint it white, I miss the blue!). The felt garland.
Her cute 2-year old's drawings above the bed. The little doll I made for Fe on her 2nd birthday that she
named Mamma Mia. That I had to throw out the other day because Sisi had an accident on top of her (yeah),
and then she got destroyed in the wash. Sad.
And so time flies by. Time for two new dolls, I believe. And another canvas.
PS My kids are into this.

pom pom
Alright, we made pom-poms. They were kind of the thing when I was a child (hello, 80s!). Very easy to
make. Fe loved it. But once we had all those pompoms, we weren't quite sure what to do with them all.
A weird caterpillar to hang from the ceiling? A scarf? A headdress?
What does one do with pompoms? They are kind of stupid and fluffy. :D
I guess, sometimes the goal is the journey.
PS For a better instruction, and a better idea what to do with them.
