Random and a Reminder

glogikakkusocks

We received a glögg cake, gingerbread cookies, and hand-knitted socks from a sweet sister in our ward.
So lovely and thoughtful, quiet, without much ado, The Spirit of Christmas - there it was, suddenly, finally.

We are going on a mini vacation to St. Petersburg tomorrow. I am so excited, I've never been to Russia,
although we only live a 5-hour drive away. Pics to follow.

Have a great weekend!

Have fun! I never think about anyone being 'close' to Russia but 5 hours is like a short drive up the north of our country!

heli, you did! :)

Tracey, I know. I'm so close to Russia, it's like I live there, almost.

I've been there - but it's a long time ago...

Have fun in St-Petersburg! I've been there a number of times. It's a wonderful city.
And a five hour drive... I can't even do that without crossing borders. Such a small country I live in :)

I know, I've said this many times before, but:
I love your pictures so much! I don't know what it is, but they are all capturing some beautiful, pure atmosphere and are so crisp and clear.

Have a fun trip!

Dear Isa,

I find it fascinating how close you are to Russia. To you of course it is your normality.

I visited St Petersburg many years ago when it was still in the Soviet Union. It was amazing. I wish you much joy during your holidays and come back quickly to share your pictures.

ps The Christmas spirit? It's wonderful, isn't it? Especially when you don't expect it.
