Pops of Color
Hi, how are you? I'm doing much better. Color has been popping back into my life (a lot of lilacs and pinks, too!) I've decided to stop worrying about the things I can't change... to let go... ah, letting go... what a relief (I should do it more often).
You know, I've been listening too much lately to that inner voice of mine that keeps telling me I'm no good. Do you know that voice? On some days she seems to be my best friend. What a silly best friend to have. I'd like to shut her out of my life for good. (I don't think that would be rude, would it, given she is rather rude herself).
I want to surround myself with friendly people instead. Kindness, Self-respect, Faith, ... and Giggles. (Fé, Sisie and I are especially fond of Giggles, she comes by for visits every day, especially right before bedtime.)
PS That print is by Jeanette Lunde of Fryd + Design. For the girls. Pretty, isn't it. (I bought mine here.)
PPS I really, really want this rug. And this bag.
Toodles!

i love these photos together. :)
Toole farbige Fotos! Ich mag sie! Der Strampler ist der knaller!
Noch viele-viele fröhliche Farben für die Woche und viel Lachen, Éva
Very nice pictures!
And that 'You're no good' can go fug herself, we should all kick her out of our lives to be honest!
Have a good Tuesday and hope you won’t run into her today ;)
Tolle Bilder und ein wundervoller Strampler! Schön!
I prefer Giggles as well. Also the Happy-Tree-Friend-Giggles: http://www.funbumperstickers.com/images/giggles.gif
I used to have it on my mobile untill I lost it in my bag.
Hey, we have a common friend...I'm glad things are looking up. Letting go is indeed the best way to establish some peace. I think I get all worried and overwhelmed and bogged down by what I'm not etc. - and then I just 'give up', let go, decide I just don't care and that life is actually really good. It is a really freeing feeling. Funny, it really seems to me that we're going through the same stuff at the same time. :)
By the way, if nothing else, you can rejoice that you have Wald- und Feldwege, to go for walks in nature and recover. I used to think that it's the food I miss most from Germany, but in the last years I've realized how much I miss the healing powers of our forests and fields (I'd always go for a run/walk/bike ride through our fields and forests by our house in Germany when I felt sad or something). There is NOTHING like that out here, and I'm missing it tremendously. :)
Thank you for this splash of colour! It's so grey and wet here. I agree, gotta tell that voice to Shut up! And letting go feels sooo good, there's so much we can't control in life...happy to hear you're feeling better (by the way, that print is amazing!)
Dear Isa,
You're 100 % right to kick this b***** pal out of your life, for good!!!! What a truly annyoing character!
Cherish the colours!
Ooh, I love the little hand holding the leaf!
Isa, if you are seriously consedering getting that rug, my family will be here on the 8th-17th of October, with a rather large van, so they could deliver it to you for free. Or if there is anything else you would like from UK, let me know:)
OMG, Museum of Useful Things! I used to spend unhealthy amounts of time in that store in Cambridge. *sigh* ... the memories!
I'm glad you're feeling better! I am, too. I've found that caffeine is usually the solution.
that inner voice is familiar to me, too. I'm working hard on not allowing doubt, worry or fear in my little brain. it works.
I'm so happy to hear! hugs and lovely days!
Ach, wie goldig! Wo kaufst du denn die schicken Babysachen immer? Und das Poster ist einfach nur toll! Ich bin gespannt auf das Mädchen-Zimmer! Liebe Grüße, Stine
Thank you everybody! :)
Franziska, hehe, we do seem to be going through the same things right now! I don't know why I sometimes simply can't love myself more, it's annoying. As to nature, yes, I remember being terribly annoyed at it in the US. (I would think it depends on where in the US you live, though.. I'd imagine the Pacific Northwest has plenty of forests and the like).
Kristiina, wow, I just might have to take you up on that offer!
Christina, same story! I loved that place. I loved Cambridge. (You guys had THE best apartment in town... if I ever go back, I'll set up residence there).
Stine, der Strampler hier ist von Lindex. :)
love the collage! good to hear that you feel more positive. hugs from here! looking forward to seeing you around christmas time!
